Running Shoes For Women – How To Choose The Right One?

Overpronator shoes:

Not all women have the same shape of feet and this is also common with males. Overpronator is a common feet type. A woman who overpronates strikes the ground on the lateral side of the heel. An individual who overpronates tends to wear down their running shoes on the medial side of the shoe towards the toe area. Overpronators should opt for straight shoes in order to achieve optimum support and stability and also to avoid injuries. If you consider these factors, you will be able to select the best running shoes in this case. There should be sufficient gap between the foot and the shoe. Also, there should be half inch gap between the great toe and the front of the shoe. This will allow the foot to breathe well.

Underpronator Shoes:

Underpronator is also another common foot type. Underpronating runners tend to have high arched feet. A woman who underpronates tends to wear down her running shoes on the lateral (outside) side of the shoe towards the rear of the shoe in the heel area. Therefore, she has to consider a particular shoe can help correct this problem. Women who underpronate need the right kind of running shoes to help them stave off injuries. They have to look for shoes that offer flexibility and neutral cushioning. These let their feet roll inward and provide special underfoot, protecting the knees and hips from overuse injuries.

Neutral runners’ shoes:

The third type of running shoes for women is for neutral runners. These women need neutral running shoes because they have normal feet and have a normal-sized arch and will leave a wet footprint that has a flare, but shows the forefoot and heel connected by a broad band. A normal foot lands on the outside of the heel and rolls inwards slightly to absorb shock.
